PHP6 Support on All Servers

Support for PHP v6 has just been added to all our hosting servers for educational and experimental purposes!

ONET Hosting is glad to inform you that, as of today, PHP version 6 is supported on all servers in our continuously expanding web hosting network.

PHP6 is a brand new version that is still under development. At the moment, the version is recommended only for educational purposes and experimental use. We are introducing the new version on our platform earlier in advance, as a lot of users have already expressed their interest in developing PHP6 enabled web applications. Now you are able to become familiar with the new features and additions in the new version in order to be prepared for the final release! Until PHP v6 is officially confirmed stable, we would highly advise against deploying the new version in a production environment of mission-critical applications.

One of the most important new features in PHP6 is the Unicode Support, coming as a timely response to the global software world's tendency of moving towards language and cultural sensitivity.

For all of you that want to explore the possibilities of the new version, simply activate PHP6 support from the Settings section of the web hosting control panel OR by uploading your files with the extension ".php6".

Concurrent support for PHP version 4 and version 5 will of course remain.
